No. That’s one big difference between North Coast Cladding and other installers. We have years of experience installing vinyl cladding on Northern Rivers and North Coast New South Wales housed, both old and new. With older houses of timber construction, we understand that they move and change shape slightly due to changes in the environment. Increased heat or humidity and the degree of moisture in the ground plays a big part in the amount that an older house might change shape. When we do an installation, we draw on our experience to look for clues as to the direction and degree of movement in a house or building and then allow for that movement in the methods we use to affix the cladding. This ensures that the cladding won’t warp, but rather will adapt to the movement within a tolerance that will maintain a plumb appearance.
Yes we do. Predominantly we service domestic or home customers, however the same materials, skills and installation know how applies to our commercial customers. As well as serving real estate investors either directly or through their agents, we also serve property developers and work in conjunction with builders to provide the best possible commercial cladding installations possible. If you’re looking for a professional cladding installer for your own home, investment property or commercial premises, look no further than the team at North Coast Cladding.
Since we charge our service by linear metre, we are able to provide estimates remotely if you are able to give use the approximate measurements of the wall areas you’d like us to clad. It can also be useful if you accompany any measurements with photos of your existing wall conditions and any windows, doorways, eves or other features that will need to be framed with vinyl cladding.
No, however it can’ burn on it’s own like wood or other combustible materials and so it is termed Flame resistant. In practical terms this means that it can’t be set alight by ember strike, but if the ambient heat from a fire comes too close, the cladding will be damaged.
By the time you’ve placed your deposit we would have already surveyed your building, measured and given you an estimate to complete the project. On receipt of your deposit, we order all of the necessary materials and fittings and schedule a time to commence shortly after the materials arrive. For an average size house with standard site preparation needed, an installation usually takes about four days to complete. We also pride ourselves in our ability to identify ways of reducing the impact on your lifestyle before, during and after the install.
Currently we have 9 colours to choose from. These colours have been developed intentionally to be slightly off neutral and subtle based on years of learning and customer feedback. You can see the full range of colours HERE, but please be aware that we can only approximate the colours on a computer. To see the exact colour choices, request a callback and we’ll bring it with us when we quote on your job.
Yes it can, but this depends on the type of cladding used. Our Everlast range includes snug molded CFC free Polystyrene between the old wall and the new exterior surface. The result is a substantial insulative effect that is intended to take some of the pressure off your existing insulation on especially hot days.
No. Another great advantage of vinyl cladding is that it can be installed directly over the old surface with minimal preparation required. This helps overcome a big problem especially with older houses where it is likely that lead paint was used. Often, the best and most affordable strategy when dealing with lead painted houses, if to simply seal the old paint permanently away from the elements. No sanding or special toxin removal equipment needed.
Vinyl cladding has many advantages over other materials. Chief among them is the cost component. Over the life of the installation, substantial savings are gained because of the extremely low maintenance required. Usually, a wash with a strong garden hose is all that’s needed to restore the look of your vinyl clad home as good as new. Since the pigment in the cladding runs through the entire thickness of the material, colour fastness is another great advantage; whereas other materials will always need regular painting or maintenance to preserve longevity.
